Lotus Decorative Overlays
This was a photoshoot for a new product Hardwoods was promoting. The challenge of this shoot was to portray the thin overlays in an interesting and dynamic way, which the client and I agreed we accomplished well. What you are seeing is the untouched photos I took, and the last slide is how the photos were used in the finished brochure, which I also designed. You can see the full line of Hardwood overlay products here.
Various Art
I have been an artist my whole life. Ever since I could hold a pencil, I was practicing drawing, and imagining things outside my reality. These slides share some of my artwork that I consider to be an important part of my journey as an artist and designer. When it comes to art, there really is no wrong or right, only sincerity or deception, and I tend to keep all my ideas sincere and strait forward, with an element of style all my own. I've worked with nearly every type of medium and am most confident in my pencil and paint work.
Alternative Process Photography
This is work I did while a student at Sac State. I had an opportunity to work with a few very artistic type of photo development processes, including cyanotype, argyrotype, and platinum prints. I took liberties with how I applied the photo-sensitive substrate to give an enhanced dimension to my work. The subjects in the photos are myself, my surroundings, and my family. My intentions were to inspire others to think outside the box and challenge creativity.
